Radiation Zone Fire Hydrant – Game-Ready Asset

This isn’t just a fire hydrant—it’s a story.

I wanted to create something that felt like it belonged in a radioactive wasteland

1. Concept & Inspiration
Started with a standard hydrant design but pushed it into a post-apocalyptic setting.
Added details like the radiation symbol, worn metal textures, and weathering effects to make it feel like it’s been through decades of decay.

2. Modeling
Built in Blender, focusing on realism with rough surfaces, edge damage, and signs of corrosion.
Chains wrapped around it, hinting that it was either repurposed or locked away for a reason.

3. Texturing & Final Touches
Used Substance Painter to layer dirt, rust, and environmental wear.
Made sure the materials told a story—one of neglect, danger, and history.

4. Rendering & Presentation
Final renders in Blender, setting up lighting
